From the 1st October 2008 all rented properties have required an Energy Performance Certificate if they are being marketed. Any existing tenancies are exempt until they become void.
The certificates will be valid for ten years no matter how many times the occupiers change.
Home Information Packs have been required for all properties placed on the market for sale since December 2006.
Swindon Energy is also pleased to be able to offer Commercial Energy Performance Certificates. These have been required since the 5th January 2009.
